Our meticulous checks go beyond standard requirements to ensure that every nanny we place aligns with your family’s values, personality, and parenting style. Nothing is more important to us than the safety and happiness of your children.

Every placement includes our NannyCare Check™ Service, a comprehensive evaluation process that ensures only the most qualified and trustworthy nannies join your family. This service is included in our flat-rate fee.

The NannyCare Check™ Service

1. Application Review

We receive numerous applications daily and individually review each one. Only candidates meeting our strict initial criteria, such as relevant training and extensive experience, proceed to the next stage.

2. Telephone Screening

Our experts conduct an in-depth screening call to assess the candidate’s professionalism, empathy, and passion for childcare. We also evaluate their career history and suitability for your family. Successful candidates move on to the next phase.

3. Professional Interview

During this comprehensive interview (lasting 45 minutes to 1 hour), we ask detailed, scenario-based, and technical questions, including those on paediatric first aid. This process helps us understand the candidate’s personality, integrity, and skills.

4. Advanced Reference Checks

We contact at least four referees, including previous employers, to gather a complete picture of the candidate’s reliability, attitude, and nannying skills. Detailed reference reports are provided for your review.

5. NannyCare Check™ Report

This unique report assesses a candidate’s suitability for childcare in a domestic setting. It evaluates:

  • Job Fit: Whether their personality aligns with caring for children.
  • Attitudes: Potential safeguarding risks.
  • Job Engagement: Their history with past employers.
    The report ensures the nanny is a natural fit for your family’s specific needs.

6. Communication Skills Review

We evaluate the nanny’s grammar, language proficiency, and written communication to ensure they can engage effectively with your children and provide clear communication with you.

7. Vehicle & DVLA Evaluation

If driving is part of the role, we verify the nanny’s driving history through the DVLA. For nannies using their own vehicle, we ensure valid business insurance, tax, MOT, and SORN status.

8. Reliability Review

We assess the candidate’s punctuality and commitment throughout the process and through feedback from previous employers. This ensures that only the most dependable nannies are shortlisted for your family.

9. Enhanced DBS Check

Every nanny undergoes a fully enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check at no additional cost. This includes verification of criminal history and safeguarding concerns. We also subscribe nannies to the Update Service for ongoing checks.

10. Eligibility to Work Verification

To prevent fraud and ensure authenticity, we conduct a thorough identity and eligibility-to-work verification. We review original documents such as passports, birth certificates, or driver’s licences, ensuring compliance with UK regulations.
