At Mindful Trust Care Agency, our nannies, including specialist nannies, are responsible for all nursery duties. These typically include laundry, cleaning, and cooking, but only for the children in their care.

Responsibilities of a Live-In Nanny

A live-in nanny’s duties typically include:

• Sole Charge Care: Taking full responsibility for the children’s care.
• Developmental Activities: Planning and delivering activities that support the complete development of the children.
• Parental Liaison: Regularly updating parents about all aspects of their children’s care.
• Nutritious Meals: Preparing wholesome and age-appropriate meals tailored to the children’s dietary needs.
• Housekeeping:
  • Maintaining cleanliness in the nursery, bedrooms, play areas, and other agreed spaces.
  • Managing nanny-provided accommodation to keep it neat and tidy.
  • Washing and repairing children’s clothes and toys.
  • Ensuring household equipment related to childcare, such as car seats, is clean and maintained.
• Holiday and Excursion Support: Preparing for and accompanying children on trips, family visits, or outings suited to their age and interests.
• Escorting Duties: Taking the children to school, nursery, or playgroup and accompanying them on excursions or activities.
• Health and Wellbeing: Administering medication and caring for the children when they are unwell.

Additional duties can be negotiated within the nanny contract. However, nannies from Mindful Trust Care Agency will not be expected to carry out non-child-related housekeeping tasks unless explicitly agreed upon in advance.
