Maternity Nurse
A maternity nurse offers expert, personalized care for both baby and mum during the critical first few weeks after birth, all in the comfort of your own home. This invaluable support helps you adjust to life with your newborn while establishing healthy feeding and sleeping routines, ensuring a smooth and nurturing transition into parenthood.
Why Hire a Private Maternity Nurse?
The initial weeks after bringing a newborn home can be challenging for every family. A maternity nurse provides professional, specialist care tailored to your family’s needs, assisting with both baby and mum while offering additional support for other children and even dad. This dedicated assistance is particularly beneficial in the following circumstances:
- Difficult Birth or Caesarean Recovery: Helping mum heal and rest while caring for the baby.
- Multiple Births: Essential support for twins, triplets, or more.
- Baby Health Concerns: Assistance if your newborn has specific health issues.
- Colic or Reflux: Guidance and hands-on care to manage these challenges.
- Exhaustion: Support when baby isn’t sleeping and parents need rest.
- Feeding Difficulties: Whether breast or bottle feeding, providing advice and hands-on help.
- Additional Young Children: Balancing care for the newborn and siblings.
- Limited Support Network: When family or other support isn’t available.
- Post-Natal Depression: Emotional and physical support for mum during recovery.
- Frequent Travel: If one parent works away often or has irregular schedules.
What is a Night Nanny?
A night nanny specializes in providing overnight care, offering support from evening through to morning. They ensure mum gets much-needed rest by taking care of the baby during the night. If you’re breastfeeding, the nanny can bring the baby to you for feeds and settle them back to sleep. Night nannies are a practical solution for tired parents and a key resource in maintaining your overall wellbeing.
