Night Nanny

A night nanny offers invaluable practical and emotional support for families welcoming newborns. With specialized training and extensive experience, they provide the essential guidance and assistance that new parents need during this transformative period.

At Mindful Trust Care Agency, our night nannies are highly skilled professionals dedicated to making your experience with your baby as positive and stress-free as possible. Their support is tailored to your unique family needs, helping establish effective routines and feeding schedules that align with your lifestyle. Whether you require help on a short-term, long-term, or even last-minute basis, we’re here to provide the right solution.

Night times can be particularly challenging for new parents, especially when facing issues like colic, feeding difficulties, or irregular sleep patterns. That’s where our night nannies excel. Typically working between 9 pm and 7 am, they assist with feeding (both breast and bottle), soothe your baby, and help establish routines that encourage your little one to sleep through the night. By doing so, they give parents the opportunity to rest and recover during those crucial early weeks.

Our night nannies bring a wealth of expertise from backgrounds in midwifery, nursing, and professional childcare, ensuring that your baby is cared for by someone with a deep understanding of newborn needs. Beyond hands-on care, they also provide emotional reassurance and practical advice to empower families as they navigate the early stages of parenthood.

With Mindful Trust Care Agency, you can expect a bespoke service, whether that involves in-person overnight care or telephone consultations to address any concerns. Embrace the support of a maternity nurse or night nanny to make your transition into parenthood smoother, more enjoyable, and tailored to the unique needs of your growing family.

Why to employ a Night Nanny?

A night nanny is invaluable for families where parents need to recover from childbirth or a caesarean section, manage shift work, or simply need to rest and recuperate. They can also assist in situations where extended family support is unavailable. Many parents find peace of mind knowing their baby is in the hands of a skilled professional, allowing them to focus on their own well-being.

What Support Can You Expect from a Night Nanny?

At Mindful Trust Care Agency, our night nannies are flexible and adapt their schedule to suit your family’s specific needs. Their duties often include:

  • Maternity Consultancy Services: Offering guidance on newborn care, including breastfeeding or bottle-feeding techniques, winding methods for colic and reflux, sleep routines, and advice on nursery temperatures and current guidelines.

  • Night Feeding: Whether you choose to breastfeed or bottle-feed, your nanny can assist by bringing your baby to you for feeds or advising on expressing milk so they can handle night feeds. Their goal is to support whatever approach works best for you and your baby.

  • Establishing Sleep Routines: Night nannies provide suggestions for stretching night feeds as your baby grows, typically from six to eight weeks, helping pave the way to longer, more restful sleep.

  • Twins or Multiples: Specialised care and tailored routines to maximise feeding productivity and allow you to rest as much as possible.

  • General Care:

    • Nappy changes and sterilising bottles or equipment.
    • Settling your baby back to sleep during the night.
    • Preparing breakfast or snacks for Mum, if desired.
    • Supporting with baby’s laundry and nursery duties.
  • Morning Handover: When you wake, your nanny will provide a detailed update on your baby’s night, sharing any developments and advice to help you through the day.

Our night nannies are there to ensure you feel supported, rested, and confident in your journey with your newborn.
